Finance ministry said the next meeting of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) Council will take place on May 18-19. The meeting will held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. |

As the government is trying to the July 1st deadline for rollout of GST, the state governments are extending their support by clear their respective state GST bills. Various states such as Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana have already cleared as many as 14 more states are believed to clear GST bills by the end of this week. Sates such as Haryana are holding special sessions to clear GST bills. |

The parliament finally cleared the GST bills. The historic Goods and Service Tax is believed to rolled from July. The Central GST Bill, 2017; The Integrated GST Bill, 2017; The GST (Compensation to States) Bill, 2017; and The Union Territory GST Bill, 2017 were returned by the Rajya Sabha by a voice vote as all parties were on board. |
